Observations of Delusional Manifestos

I’ve been trying to find some article better than a meme to explain why I sympathize with BLM civil disobedience over cops killing unarmed people in a society that has racial, cultural and socio-economic discrimination built into it. However, I’m empathetic to the obvious mental illness I see in the capital protesters. For one, their reasoning was rather insane, not that bright, and fueled by a president whose popularity is indicative of serious problems. President Trump’s mental disorders are a magnified personification of America’s crumbling social psychology. I think a lot of the rioters from BLM were basically opportunists looking to smash and grab in the confusion of legitimate protests. Underpinning BLM protests though are legitimate objections to inhumane racism. MAGA, for the most part, has a much larger degree of authenticity in their proclaimed motivations. I don’t doubt those who invaded the capital believe the conspiracy theories they’ve been fed by the president, Republican leaders, and each other. They are dumb as rocks and incapable of grasping reality in a way that has come to a crisis. The BLM protests (as opposed to anti-fa riots) were reasonable, whereas historically more peaceful MAGA protesters are not grasping they’re delusional, highly misinformed, and quickly losing any grip they have on reality. They are becoming dangerous, and quickly organizing into violent militias. I do not feel terror from the attempt to invade and overthrow congress. I am saddened that someone killed a cop with a fire extinguisher. However, they didn’t exactly come in with assault rifles. There were a few pipe bombs set up that didn’t explode, but overall, I don’t feel their goal was to terrorize the nation to surrender to their will so much as they just lacked the intellectual capacity to understand Trump is a dangerous retard to get behind when he ordered they march onto the capitol to force congress to invalidate the election. They are anti-constitutionalism and determined to overthrow the Democratic aspects to our Republic. MAGA has severe intellectual and cognitive defects, whereas I can comprehend the reason of BLM shutting down traffic by stepping into it. Then again, I think there is a better path forward for my black cousins to rise up properly into leadership, whereas the MAGA crowd’s subpar mental problems are extremely limiting to their potential. It appears that they can’t overcome those limits despite having some demographic advantages, which is frustrating them. As a white bipolar person, I get it. It’s frustrating being on the bottom, and yet told you are ‘privileged.’ Not really. Whiteness isn’t a free ticket to wealth and power. I’ve not found a decent article that deals with such nuances without launching into judgmental overtones and biased over simplicity. I’d like to read over something bearing some semblance of objectivity. I can’t find it. I’m not truly seeking an objective view, though. I’m just desperate to confirm someone sees what I see. And so here it goes…

  1. There was quite honestly a general desire from both sides at the Capitol to not engage with lethal force. There were only 2 exceptions of deadly force being used; one on each side. Quite frankly I’m fine with that. I’m probably one of the few people who thinks overall, it went smoother than the blowhards indicate. That night, I didn’t voice it, but I thought it to be a positive sign. I’m starting to see people realize that words should matter again, but also that they haven’t. MAGA talked some shit, but basically, the casualty level was absurdly low considering the threats to overthrow the election and install Trump under authoritarian rule, shitty pipe bombs, and use of the word ‘terrorists.’ Two sides of white people basically weren’t willing to kill each other overall. Now if different races could identify with each other as fully human, that would be great, and it’s hard not to see what happened and not say the quiet part out loud.
  2. I don’t know what to do about our elected leaders, from Trump to 121 congresspersons still attempting to install a dictatorship. They all are unfit for duty. They aren’t dealing with reality, and we should reconsider the powers our leaders have to employ lethal force overseas as a good chunk of those people are seen as ‘not fully human.’ I hope that the ability of a single person to launch a military strike is removed. President Trump has proven that the Commander-in-Chief should be better balanced against their ability to kill people when they may not be intellectually capable of understanding much more than how to physically operate an iPhone on the toilet. We just survived 4 years of a president who is dangerously intellectually deficient. We watched him attempt to override an election, and we saw about 25% of the House of Reps wipe their butts with the constitution. I’m not terrified. I’m horrified. My nation is no longer in a moral position to say other dictatorships shouldn’t have nukes because we just showed how mentally deranged we are while heading towards a dictatorship with a leader who’s not got the intellectual capacity to care about others or give a shit about consequences or even his followers themselves. What baffles me is his followers still back him while he sells them out to prison sentences.
  3. Perhaps that many white lunatics coming into prison all at once will prompt us to rethink a behavioral health model to rehabilitate, rather than prison as a place of punishment and retribution. Children are about to lose their parents on very long sentences though, and that is sad. However a cop died, and white people also now have to comprehend that cops will kill unarmed people. To some degree, Anti-fa will have to consider if an ability to radically outnumber and kill a cop with random objects like a fire extinguisher could make their own riots darker in morality than they previously comprehended. Cops though, seriously need to own up to why they can kill blacks and not whites. That’s pretty f’ing obvious and BLM protesters are getting screwed over. Many white people bitched about kneeling in a football game being unpatriotic while continuing to protest the democratic aspects of our country. Many still don’t understand why the sitting VP can’t just undo an election. It doesn’t matter if I chose not to explain why. They aren’t patriots, whereas BLM frankly always was, partially because humanism should be our top priority, not our racist and national interests. Humanism is our moral foundation, while patriotism becomes flag-waving dumb asses wanting to be the only ones getting social help and Medicaid paid for Hoverrounds sold on taxpayer dimes.
  4. Mental illness can be a legitimate medical issue, and not merely an excuse for poor behavior. I’ve been considering what I am witnessing from the insurrectionists and trying to relate it to my own psychosis I experienced before my commitment. My psychotic symptoms entirely developed with concurrent insomnia. When I’m sleeping properly, I’m fine. Basically, the meds I take are strictly for mania. I don’t have a down phase. I’m unipolar, not bipolar. I can’t sleep without medication and quickly fall into paranoid delusions. I wonder how many insurrectionists also suffer from extreme insomnia and simply require medication to sleep. Many, I’m sure, don’t have proper sleep cycles when they do sleep because of recreational substances, legal or otherwise, including caffeine consumption. I am left knowing I’m not really in a position to judge anyone, including insurrectionists and rioters. I get there are people well rested who just don’t value the lives of others. It is a waste of human resources to lock up MAGA Qanon believers for what could be solved with proper medical treatment though. First, we need to look at our demographical and socioeconomic disparities in legal diversion programs. We also need to reconsider how we condemn some addictions and market others. There should not be a pipeline to prison for blacks, and the economically disadvantaged, while whites and the more affluent are diverted to a separate less punitive correctional approach. My desire to see the mental health issues addressed for insurrectionists who could be salvaged with psychiatric care also insists we start helping minorities out of our school to prison pipeline with equal rigor and mercy. Reparations need not be wasted into 40 acres and mule. Medical care would be a wiser way to compensate for the much greater damage already done to a black community where 1/3 of men are under the weight of the criminal justice system in some form or another. I am not afforded many opportunities as someone with a mental health history. However, I can bury it a little better than an ex-con and it’s time to reform both while prioritizing the latter until there is some semblance of merit to our (sub)cultural socio-economic stratification. This being said, I’ve noticed white meth heads are kind of dehumanized and treated like trash; thrown into prison. That needs to be changed as well. I recognize addiction can’t really be solved with psychiatric pills as well. Sometimes people need to be locked away. Most of them though are wasted potential with people who love them because simply being human requires some mercy to be shown. This includes Trump, though I can see the need for ritual public sacrifices as well. Perhaps he must be our scapegoat and messiah. I’d rather we send him to a shit hole country to live in the barrios on reality TV than nailed to a cross. It really would give me hope to see him reformed on Fox by those he saw as mostly criminals and rapists.
  5. I do not believe kicking off conspiracy theorists from major servers is all good. These are companies that are friendly to law enforcement when need be, and we’re about to have a major loss of intel on domestic terrorists. By this, I don’t mean just the law enforcement and government intelligence agencies. These idiots don’t really comprehend how much these platforms are listening in with data mining that is largely available for a price. I think the companies had to weigh the value of idiots broadcasting criminal communication, against perpetuating further mass delusion and hysteria that appears to be growing too fast to control. I’m amazed so many people think ‘fact-checking’ on Facebook is censorship. It’s not just a non-governmental entity. Calling out bullshit is protected speech too. However, they are also going to quickly feel overconfident that their new encrypted messaging systems are secure. The reality is their device/computer will just screen capture, key log and audio capture directly from the hardware. We don’t need to monitor the network traffic itself. They are still GPS tracking, and people tend to forget that as much as one secures their shit, they are still subject to any vulnerability anyone they are communicating with has left open. I don’t doubt all major end-user systems have back doors anyway. In short, I get why it was better to just move the idiots to new systems that have less reach.
  6. Our constitutional rights are subject to originalism including limits to the technology during which the legislation was drafted. This means the right to a well-regulated militia to arm themselves is technically limited to muskets. Just like we don’t get to own nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons, there is no constitutional right to own guns capable of rapid firing. The founders didn’t originally intend for people to have those, because they weren’t invented, thus they didn’t have to consider the consequences of an overly armed militia capable of harming en-mass the majority. This would also apply to free speech. In their days, the printing press generally had editors and was in control a bit more by those wealthy enough to afford industrial machinery. There should be a right to just speak in town as a cryer or sell proclaimed prophet. That’s straight-up biblical in capability. However, there is no right to Facebook, for example. The moral issue to me is, does it validate the idiots by actually legitimizing their claim that their message is so dangerous to the masses that the Illuminati or whatnot needed to shut them down. There are conspiracies that go beyond MAGA and Qanon. However, when Rosie said 9/11 was an inside job, by all means, the television producers had the right to take her off the air. It’s the job of editors and producers to verify the information that is published. The right to free speech will never be a right to broadcast on someone else’s medium. This being said, I suspect I myself face some discrimination in employment because I say the shit meant to be left unsaid. However, I think there is also a right to not employ idiots and angry paranoid people who don’t know how to act socially appropriate, to be frank. Either way, originalism applies to the context, including the technology at that time as it related to potential social chaos.
  7. These people are more like the Gangster Disciples were when I was in high school. They are more like wannabes that seldom live up to their delusions, though some outliers can be lethal. They also worship the revolutionary war, and frankly, I blame elementary and middle school history teachers for telling stories, rather than really teaching historical social psychology as it related to the idea that murder is a good idea. They were largely slave owners who didn’t like luxury taxes such as for tea. The victors wrote stories, however, perhaps kids should watch and critically debate VetTV rather than be told how great our founding fathers were. They killed over tea and the right to own slaves. We need to desanctify them. We need to get these ‘patriots’ to understand they are arguing murder and treason. The fact they aren’t capable of grasping that is one of the reasons I think it is more than brainwashing. I don’t think they have my mental illness overall. I think they’re not that bright and overdramatic. They really are basically dangerously intellectually disabled. We also fail to accept many have addiction problems we don’t want to recognize because a lot of people use but don’t abuse those substances who aren’t crazy.
  8. I read some q stuff, but overall it’s like 9/11 conspiracies. It can be well-produced, but it doesn’t stand up when faced with critical analysis. However, to a paranoid person, the nature of a conspiracy requires a substantial lack of evidence. I’ve been there on that end. However, that was more when I was abusing alcohol, pot and caffeine. People in America tend to think they are super smart and it’s causing problems because they are far from it. That is a form of schizophrenia when combined with political paranoia. They probably sleep fine though. My shit goes away sober, clean and sleeping fine on the correct medication. They may not be all there, and they probably are fairly stupid. However the part we should recognize is that anxiety over covid is stressing some out and some of this is stress-induced.
