US internal Mass shootings and our response to Ukraine

You know how we’re mad at the cops for not running into the classroom to kill the guy with an assault rifle using a handgun? I get it. I’m there. Putin has an armory of weapons including long-range NBC’s, which he has yet to bring into play. However the bombs, missiles, and artillery he uses target schools and homes. This kid was a crazy sociopath. Putin is merely a sociopath. This is why mental illness isn’t a founding pillar of murder. The problem is the desire to kill people, not why one justifies it, rational or otherwise. I’d be remiss as a bipolar person if I didn’t admit a level of psychosis can make a person perceive threats that aren’t there. I have some of that. But I don’t own a gun. I see no reason to own a gun. If the Russians invade, I’m sure I’d find myself with a gun. However, in most situations, crazy people shouldn’t have guns. We do need better policy in that area, but Putin is kind of the elephant here. He has nukes. Sociopaths who are in good mental health otherwise shouldn’t have armies of college kids barely out of high school being trained to kill without thought. What if the cops instead of shooting at the armed mass murderer, merely brought supplies including better guns to the teachers and children? Putin is committing mass murder, and we’re mostly lucky evil isn’t often that cohesive. Truthfully, I think it’s gotten to the point where international action is morally necessary. However, I’m not an expert and the thought of turning his own people against him does sound appealing. It’s not going to be done with seizing yachts. Nobody needs a yacht. That’s not going to stop mass murder. We’re standing by like cops outside an active school shooting waiting for proper backup, but offering teachers guns.
